Transporting fresh products and perishables
Frozen goods typically have extended storage life at standard temperatures of -18°C or below, allowing them to maintain high quality throughout storage and transport. Howev- er, transporting more sensitive perishables-like flowers, fruits, and vegetables-requires extra care.
For example, flowers shipped by sea are rapidly chilled to near-freezing shortly after har- vest, essentially placing them in a state of suspended animation.
